Gen Tariq Khan was commissioned in Pakistan Army in the 55th PMA long course. He completed the course with great distinction and was awarded with Sword of Honor. During his glorious service of 37 years, he served at some of the most significant command and staff appointments. Which includes Commander Armored Brigade, General Officer Commanding first armored division, General Officer Commanding Infantry Division, IGFC KPK, Commander one corps & Central Command.
In his career as a professional soldier, he also rendered his services as instructor at National Defense University Islamabad and Command and Staff College Quetta during his tenure of service. He is also graduate from these institutions. There is great honor in mentioning his meaningful participation in first Gulf War in 1991. He also represented Pakistan during war on terror at CENTCOM (USA). As IGFC KPK, he commanded and spear headed Pakistan’s war against terror with his professional excellence. He retired with full honor and after his retirement, he was appointed as CEO & Managing Director of Fauji Fertilizer Company. He is also serving Directorship on the boards of number of renowned organizations like Askari Bank Limited, Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim, Fauji Food Limited, Fauji Meat limited, FFBL Foods limited, FFBL Power Company, Phillip Morris and Thar Energy Limited.
Justice Gulzar Ahmed is a well-known name in Pakistan. This name strikes as a brave, Bold and most transparent Judge in the judicial history of Pakistan.
His professional journey was started as a lawyer in 1986 and soon after that he established himself as a man of principles among the legal fraternity. After his successful career as a lawyer with a reputation of a just man, he was appointed as Judge of the Sindh High court in August of 2002, where he continued his service in upholding the law in the land of pure.
On the well-deserving basis of his honest performance in Sindh High court, he was elevated to the position of Judge of the Apex Court of Pakistan in November of 2011.
He concluded his enviable and outstanding career in the judiciary of the Pakistan as Chief Justice of Supreme Court of Pakistan. The highest position in the judicial setup of Pakistan. His whole career is a tale of great courage, dignity and principles. His service is filled with number of occasions where he showed not only his great understanding of law and constitution but also his honest conduct as a human.
Establishing the Chain of Forensic Laboratories across Pakistan is one of the most shining landmarks of his career. He is greatly known for his expertise and acumen to handle and adjudicate white collar crimes. His whole career speaks of multiple remarkable decisions which are now taken as guiding steps for dealing with similar cases for the future. With his great service he set the bar high for the judges to come in future.
