Gen Tariq Khan was commissioned in Pakistan Army in the 55th PMA long course. He completed the course with great distinction and was awarded with Sword of Honor. During his glorious service of 37 years, he served at some of the most significant command and staff appointments. Which includes Commander Armored Brigade, General Officer Commanding first armored division, General Officer Commanding Infantry Division, IGFC KPK, Commander one corps & Central Command.
In his career as a professional soldier, he also rendered his services as instructor at National Defense University Islamabad and Command and Staff College Quetta during his tenure of service. He is also graduate from these institutions. There is great honor in mentioning his meaningful participation in first Gulf War in 1991. He also represented Pakistan during war on terror at CENTCOM (USA). As IGFC KPK, he commanded and spear headed Pakistan’s war against terror with his professional excellence. He retired with full honor and after his retirement, he was appointed as CEO & Managing Director of Fauji Fertilizer Company. He is also serving Directorship on the boards of number of renowned organizations like Askari Bank Limited, Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim, Fauji Food Limited, Fauji Meat limited, FFBL Foods limited, FFBL Power Company, Phillip Morris and Thar Energy Limited.
